摘    要:We propose a monotone finite clement method for diffusion equations with nearly degenerate coefficients and general convection-diffusion equations. Based on orthogonal subregion collocations, the method ensures that the resulting finite clement stiffincss matrix is an M-matrix for general two- and three-dimensional Delaunay meshes. Numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed method is robust and competitive in solving convection-dominated problems and semi-conductor device models.
